We Must Protect the Sanctity of Life
Many lives have been lost to the dreaded decision back in 1973. Soon the highest court of the land will overturn the Roe v Wade decision and it will be a states issue once again. Iowan's must contact their legislators and make their voices heard. We must Honor and Protect the Sanctity of Life, in the womb, those born alive and those in the final years of life.
Hear the words of State Senator Jim Carlin on the floor of the Iowa Senate and the compassion he displays. All Lives Matter. We must protect those in the womb. The debate over weeks is inconsequential, the child is a life, a life in the womb, a life that has rights whether born or in the womb.
“When the Founders wrote in the Declaration of Independence that “all men are created equal,” they were not ignoring the obvious differences that make people individuals—differences in appearance, personality, aptitude, skills, and character. All men are equal in the sense that, since we are all human, we are born with certain inherent, natural, and unalienable rights. Those rights include “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” This essential equality means that no one is born with a natural right to rule over others without their consent, and that governments are obligated to apply the law equally to everyone.”
